Triphase is a Belgian, privately held company that
provides
solutions for the fast realization of complex, high-performance,
industrial power electronics applications. This includes power
electronics for motor
drives, power
grid control, induction heating, lighting and many more.
Triphase is a spin-off from the ELECTA
laboratories of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Triphase key technologies are
programmable and user-friendly systems for rapid
prototyping of new power
electronics applications and efficient engineering methods for
turning prototypes into products.

Frederik Loeckx, Chief Executive Officer
Frederik Loeckx received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in 1996.
In July 2001, he obtained an MBA degree from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.
From 1996 to 2003, Frederik worked for Utimaco Safeware, a leading company in computer security solutions.
Within Utimaco, he was responsible for the development of several product platforms.
From January 2003 on, Frederik worked as innovation advisor at the GOM Vlaams Brabant. He supported several companies and
starters in bringing their innovative ideas to market.
His background provides Frederik with a thorough understanding on how to put innovative technology on the market
and on the general management of a small organisation.

Piet Vanassche, Chief Operations Officer
Piet received the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics and the M.S. degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in 2003 and 1997 respectively.
From 2003 to 2006 he has worked with Siemens Belgium as an R&D engineer in the areas of process modelling and advanced process control.
In this position, he cooperated on the implementation of several commercial projects, mainly in the pulp and paper industry.
Both his R&D and industry experience provide Piet with a broad technological and practical know-how.

Jeroen Van den Keybus, Chief Technology Officer
Jeroen received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and the M.S. degree in microelectronics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in 2003 and 1998 respectively.
His thesis describes power conversion applications in low-voltage distribution grids in a deregulated market and was conducted under the
supervision of Prof. Ronnie Belmans.
The Triphase Smart Inverter technology finds its origins in this work. With the early versions of the technology, Jeroen has succesfully completed several industrial
projects.
Jeroen has gathered a vast knowledge on power electronics, on high-speed digital and analog hardware design and on real-time operating systems.

Hans Keppens, Chief Software Architect
Hans received the M.S. degree in computer sciences from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in 1996.
From 1996 to 2000, Hans worked as a software engineer for AT&T Istel and Alti International
where he was one of their lead software architects.
From 2000 until 2004, Hans worked as a senior software architect for DATA4s, a KULeuven spin-off.
By the end of 2004, Hans joined one of the quality assurance teams of EMC²,
a company providing solutions for reliable data storage. Here, he helped to promote lean development methods that emphasize a
focus on high quality results with immediate customer value.
His great experience with software design and lean product development makes Hans ideally suited to manage complex software projects in a way that keeps the
development team focused on creating customer value.
