The Triphase Smart Inverter Target Platform
can be used to prototype innovative, experimental algorithms for drive
control. The algorithm's functioning is directly tested in a real
environment against real motor hardware. Performance characteristics,
like energy efficiency and dynamic response, are readily measured. Thanks to
the flexibility of the Smart Inverter Target Platform, design changes
can be dowloaded and tested on the fly. This interactive way
of engineering results in short development times whereby
focus is given to generating added value.
In a second stage, algorithms developed
during the prototyping stage can be loaded on Triphase Smart
Inverter hardware that is embedded into the final product hardware. In
this way, new drive controls are realized while minimizing
the time-to-market.
